Incriminating materials including arms & ammunition recovered

December 21: Police alongwith security forces have arrested four militant associates linked with proscribed militant outfit JeM and recovered incriminating materials including arms & ammunition from their possession.
Acting on specific input, Awantipora police along with 50RR and 110BN CRPF apprehended 04 terrorist associates linked with proscribed militant outfit JeM. They have been identified as Zubair Gul son of Gh Mohd Ganie, Adil Fayaz Ganie son of Fayaz Ahmed Ganie, Basit Ali son of Ali Mohd Dar all residents of Samboora and Shahid Nabi Pandith son of Gh Nabi Pandith resident of Konibal Pampore. Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition including Pistol, Hand Grenade were recovered from their possession.
During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that the arrested militant associates were in touch with JeM commanders & were involved in transportation of arms & ammunition. Besides, they were providing shelter and other logistic support to the active terrorists operating in Samboora & Pampore areas of Awantipora.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pampore and further investigation has been taken up.
