In a swift and efficient operation, the police in Sheeri Baramulla have successfully cracked a burglary case within just 12 hours of its occurrence. Three burglars involved in the crime have been apprehended, and stolen property worth lacs has been recovered from their possession.

The case came to light when a complaint was lodged at Police Station Sheeri by Abdul Aziz Bhat, proprietor of Bhat Traders, alleging that his salesman, Zubair Ahmad Mir, had stolen hardware, sanitary items, and other valuables from the shop amounting to more than 30 lacs from his sanitary cum hardware store near Police Training Centre Sheeri.

Promptly responding to the complaint, the police registered a case (FIR No. 11/2024) and initiated an investigation. A dedicated team, led by the SHO of PS Sheeri and other officers under the supervision of DySP Headquaters Baramulla, was formed to probe the matter.

Utilizing CCTV footage, the investigative team identified the culprits as Zubair Ahmad Mir, Wali Mohd Bhat, and Zubair Ahmad Lone. Subsequently, the trio was arrested, and the stolen property was recovered from their possession besides several others involved in the large scale burglary are still at large and stolen sanitary materials worth more than 30 lacs is missing.

Proprietor Abdul Aziz Bhat has hailed the efforts of Police and role of SSP Baramulla Amod Ashok Nagpuri for assuring thorough investigation as several other burglars are still at large and huge cache of stolen property is still missing.

Traders community and locals have commended the police force for their swift action and dedication in solving the case. This successful operation underscores the commitment of the police to maintain law and order in the region, reassuring the community of their safety and security. The investigation is ongoing, and further recoveries are anticipated as the case progresses.
