According to an official press release issued by the Government of India, the President of India, acting on the advice of Prime Minister , has accepted the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan from the Union Council of Ministers.
Pralhad Joshi, who has held several important portfolios in the Union Government, is expected to take over the responsibilities of the Education Ministry with immediate effect. The change comes at a crucial time when issues related to examination reforms, transparency in recruitment processes, and strengthening the education system remain major priorities.
Dharmendra Pradhan had served as Union Education Minister during a period marked by the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and various initiatives aimed at expanding educational opportunities and promoting skill development.
