The police have detained more than twelve people for interrogation who are allegedly “suspected to have supported the terrorists” who are involved in killing six villagers inDhangri Village of Rajouri District on January 1st and 2nd, reliable sources informed.

When contacted SSP Rajouri Mohd Aslam, he said that some people, including one woman have been detained for questioning,” adding, “these people are suspected of helping the terrorists who killed six innocent civilians in Dhangri Village of Rajouri”.The questioning of these suspects is still going on, the SSP further said. Meanwhile, reliable sources informed that all the detained suspects are locals. The SSP, however, did not divulge further details but sources said that the questioning from the detained suspects is in advanced stage and very soon the Police may come out with details.

Sources said that intense search operation has been launched in Dhangri, Potha, Saranu, Kandi, Miyani, Muradpur, Nagrota, Pidi, DarajSamote and some other villages of Rajouri District as security forces have inputs that the terrorists might be hiding somewhere in these areas.

The intense search operation to hunt down the terrorists is still going on in Rajouri villages, they said adding that the operation is based on credible inputs.
They said that the terrorists were well versed with the local topography and other necessary details of the area i.e routes and localities where the attack was carried out by them in which six innocent civilians were killed.
