Police Apprehends 3 Persons, 2 Others Manage to Flee Scene

Srinagar, Sep 2 :

A labourer from Banihal died during a scuffle in Murad Pora area of Shopian district on Friday evening, official sources said.

They told GNS that one labourer namely Nasir Ahmad Naik, son of Abdul Hamid Naik (19) of Banihal was critically injured after getting involved in a scuffle at a rented accommodation in Shopian. The injured person was lifted from the site to a nearby hospital, however he succumbed on way, they said.

Confirming it, a police official told GNS that three persons were apprehended from the spot while two others managed to flee the scene before arrival of the police party. “Congisance has been taken into the incident for due investigations”, he further said. (GNS)
