Srinagar, Dec 25 :

Students across Kashmir are grappling with disruptions in their studies due to the unavailability of 9th class textbooks prescribed by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE).

“Despite the academic year being well underway, these essential resources remain out of stock in local markets and bookstores,” parents said.

They said neither JKBOSE stalls nor private bookshops have the required books, leaving families struggling to support their kids education. The situation has placed immense stress on students, especially those studying in 9th class, affecting their ability to keep up with lessons and potentially widening existing educational disparities.

Parents urged the authorities to address this issue immediately. They called on the Education Department and JKBOSE to ensure that the textbooks are supplied without further delay. [KNT]
