Shri Budha Amarnathji Yatra 2023 is going to start from 17th August and will conclude on 30th August.

DIG Rajouri/Poonch Range took Stock of security arrangements of Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra at Mandi, today.

Today on 31st July 2023, DIG RP Range Dr Haseeb Mughal, IPS convened a security-arrangements review meeting with all the stakeholders at Mandi and dicussed various issues pertaining to the smooth conduct of Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra.

Among the Civil Society members the prominent people present in the meeting included Sh Taj Mir, Sh. Shamim Ganai, Sh. Shehzad Khan, Sh. Nissar Peer, Haji Mohd Ashraf, Sh. Surinder Singh, Sh Asger Ali etc.

They appraised DIG RP Range about the various issues being faced viz dilapidated condition of Mandi-Poonch road, lighting of the town through Solar light, installation of CCTV cameras, upkeep of the alternate new college road etc.

DIG RP Range assured all the civil society members that whereever required CCTV cameras will be installed in addition to the cameras already installed and all other issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities.

DIG was accompanied by SSP Poonch Sh Vinay Kumar, JKPS, Addl SP Poonch Sh Mushim Ahmed, SHO Mandi Insp Mukhtiyar Ali, besides officers of CRPF and intelligence agencies.

The civil society Mandi praised the good work being done by Poonch Police in curbing the crime and the menace of drugs in particular. They also assured the Police team of all the cooperation for peaceful and successful yatra….
