Four women trainees of IIFL Retail Associate Training Centre, Kupwara were successfully placed for jobs in Srinagar during their Industry Visit on 15 September 2022.

KUPWARA ,SEPTEMBER,24 :

The IIFL Retail Training Center in Kupwara Town was conceived jointly by India Infoline Finance Limited (IIFL) as funder and NGO REACHA as implementing partner with Indian Army. The center was inaugurated on 27 July 2022 in Sheikh-ul-Aalam Complex near Bus Stand, Kupwara. The aim of the center is to provide training and employment to 180 unemployed youth of Kupwara district. The centre is equipped with hi-tech computer lab and NSQF aligned curriculum.

Industry visits are an important exercise for retail trainees which has a fruitful and positive impact not only on the trainees but also on the trainers & helps them enhance syllabus and training techniques. Such exercises builds confidence and helps trainees understand the working environment and work culture being practiced in retail sector. It also helps in building relationships with partners, and helps them in getting placed in quality outlets and organisations.

On 15th September 2022, an Industry visit was organised for its 1st batch of trainees of Retail training associate programme as part of its placement model.

During the visit, trainees learned customer service tactics and received expert advice from sales executives of City Mall, Srinagar, V mart Lal chowk, Srinagar and various other shopping complexes and Malls.

All trainees have been awarded with certification from Retail Sector Skill Council of National Skill Development Corporation of India after the completion of the training programme. Efforts are being made to ensure the placement of all the trainees in near future aswell After completion of first batch of 30 students, next batch is expected to start from 1st October 2022
