Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum has termed the recent government order regarding using of social media by employees, intimidating and arbitrary. In a statement Abdul Qayoom Wani, Chairman JKCSF taking dig at the govt for renderering government employees rightless of the basic human rights. Chairman Wani said labelled the act as a direct violation of the employees Right to expression.

“How employees should behave is already laid down in CSR and there are rules of disciplinary action against violators, however these now and then new orders deprive the employees of their rights of expressing views in policy decisions or anything against employee interests. Which is quite unjust and undemocratic” Wani said

Terming the employees as the backbone of any government establishment, Wani suggested the govt to refrain from issuing intimidating orders and stressed that persisting with the trend of issuing such threatening orders will only encourage hostility and will also affect the work culture in Jammu and Kashmir. He even expressed concern over the act affecting the employees on very personal levels and said that it can even lead the employees into depressing psychic status.

JKCSF has suggested the govt to let employees breathe in a free atmosphere by not letting them get affected by such orders that disturb the very psyche and thus the work culture in govt offices.
