Baramulla, June 18: A tipper driver lost his life after his vehicle overturned at Gantamulla Bala in Baramulla district on Wednesday.The deceased has been identified as Ghulam Hassan Bhat, son of Abdul Aziz Bhat, popularly known as Hus Mom.

According to reports, the tipper overturned while he was driving, causing him critical injuries.Soon after the accident, the injured driver was shifted to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Sheeri, where doctors declared him brought dead. The body was subsequently shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Baramullafor post-mortem examination and other legal formalities.

Hospital authorities conducted the autopsy on priority, following which the body was handed over to the family for the last rites.

Meanwhile, members of the bereaved family and local residents expressed their gratitude to Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr. Syed Fakhrudin Bukhari, Chairman Save Youth Save Future Wajahat Farooq Bhat, Medical Superintendent GMC Baramulla Dr. Parvaiz Masoodi, and Casuality Medical Officer Baramulla Dr. Amina Ashraf for their support and timely intervention in facilitating the immediate conduct of the autopsy and completion of the necessary formalities.

The civil and health authorities have expressed profound condolences with the bereaved family and conveyed solidarity during this difficult time.Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further proceedings.
