To ensure the safety of the general public, travelers and drivers and on the request of NHAI, the District Magistrate Ramban vide order No. ADMR/542-54 dated 10-06-2026 (copy enclosed) has accorded permission to NHAI for relaying works (execution of bituminous works) during night hours on 12th, 14th and 16th June 2026 at various locations, including the critical location at Nachlana on NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar NHW).

Accordingly, traffic shall remain suspended between Nashri and Navyug Tunnel on the intervening nights of 12th/13th, 14th/15th and 16th/17th June 2026 from 2200 hrs to 0500 hrs each night .

In view of the traffic suspension on the Jammu–Srinagar NHW (NH-44), no movement of any kind of vehicle shall be allowed after 1700 hrs from Udhampur towards Ramban, Banihal, and Srinagar. Similarly, no vehicle shall be allowed to move after 2000 hrs from Qazigund towards Banihal, Ramban, Udhampur, and Jammu.

Load carrier operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock are advised to load their vehicles accordingly.

People are requested to please contact TCU Jammu at (0191-2459048, 0191- 2740550, 9419147732, 103), TCU Srinagar (0194-2450022, 2485396, 18001807091, 103), TCU Ramban (9419993745) and TCU Udhampur (8491928625) before starting their journey on NH-44 on 13th, 15th and 17th of June, 2026 to avoid inconvenience.
