Srinagar, January 2: Two visionary school leaders from Kashmir, Javed Ahmed Banday, Principal of Government BHSS Beerwah, and Rehana Qausar, Headmaster of Government BMS Yarikalan Budgam, have been selected for the prestigious National School Leaders Award 2025 by the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), New Delhi.

These educators were recognized for their innovative contributions to school governance and pedagogical practices. The award ceremony will be held during the National Level School Leadership Conference at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, from January 8 to 10, 2025.

Both awardees have been praised for their exemplary efforts in transforming their respective schools into hubs of excellence. Banday, a National Awardee, has introduced initiatives to improve academic outcomes and infrastructure at BHSS Beerwah, while Qausar has led significant reforms in community engagement and teaching strategies at BMS Yarikalan.

The School Education Department of Jammu & Kashmir has extended heartfelt congratulations to both educators, appreciating their commitment and innovative approaches in the field of education. In a formal order, the Chief Education Officer, Budgam, sanctioned their deputation to the national conference.

He further added that the department stands firmly behind such outstanding efforts and remains committed to fostering innovation and excellence in our schools.”
