A United States national, accompanied by a local individual, was detained at Srinagar International Airport after security personnel recovered a prohibited satellite tracker from their luggage during routine screening on Sunday.
Officials said the device was detected during standard security checks, prompting immediate action by airport authorities. Both individuals were subsequently handed over to the police for further investigation.
Police sources confirmed that questioning of the duo is currently underway to ascertain the purpose and origin of the device, as well as any potential security implications.
