The High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh has ordered the compulsory retirement of Mahmud Anwar Alnasir, Civil Judge (Senior Division), presently posted as Sub-Judge Uri, at the age of 58 years.

According to an order issued by the office of the Registrar General, a copy of which lies with GNS, the decision follows a recommendation made by the Full Court at its meeting held recently.

The order states that until the competent authority sanctions the compulsory retirement, the judicial officer will remain attached to the office of the Registrar Judicial, Srinagar.

Meanwhile, the Sub-Judge/Special Mobile Magistrate, Baramulla, has been assigned the additional charge of Sub-Judge Uri until further orders. The officer will hold court at both locations according to a roster to be devised by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla. (GNS)
