BARAMULLA, MAY, 10:

The Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina along with other District Officers today presided a Block Diwas Programme at Rohama here to listen and speedily redress the public grievances of the people of the area.

Among others, the Block Diwas was attended by DDC Rohama, Shabir Ahmad, BDC Rohama Sushma Nehru , Tehsildar Rohama, Members of Civil Society Rohama and others sectoral /line officers of various departments.

During the Grievance Redressal Camp, various Public delegations and scores of individuals projected various developmental issues before the ADC Sopore and sought the timely resolution of their grievances and demands.

On the occasion, the people put forth several demands including macdamization and widening of link and main roads, upgradation of Education Institutions, creation of play fields in the area and establishment of power receiving stations at various places etc.

After giving a patient hearing to the grievances and demands of the public, the ADC assured that the Administration will provide active support for development of Rohama block and also assured them that all their issues and demands shall be taken with the concerned authorities for their timely redressal.

On the occasion, a facilitation counter was also installed during which several facilities including making of domicile certificates made available for the general people for their convenience.

The ADC Sopore further said that the administration is keen to streamline public service delivery and added that various developmental works are being identified and subsequently approved for their execution. He directed the concerned Officers to raise awareness regarding the schemes on various platforms so that people can get to know about the benefits of the schemes and accordingly get benefited from them.

Similar public outreach programme were also organized at all sub Division levels of Baramulla district where the concerned Sub Divisional heads listened to the grievances and issues of the people.
