SRINAGAR : The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (DMA) on Friday issued Medium and Low Danger Level avalanche warning Jammu and Kashmir.

The avalanche warning has been issued for next 24 hours in eight districts of the Union Territory in view of the inclement weather conditions.

According to Disaster Management Authority (DMA), the avalanche with Medium Danger Level is likely to occur above 3000 metres over Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch and Ramban districts of Jammu region.

The avalanche with Low Danger Level is likely to occur above 2400 meters over Bandipora, Baramulla, Kupwara and Ganderbal districts of Kashmir region, it said.

The Disaster Management Authority has also advised people living in these areas to take precautions and avoid venturing in the avalanche prone areas.
