Chief Education Officer Anantnag has asked the people not to admit their wards in GEMS Public School Bijbehara as the school was functioning unauthorisedly as it is without recognition since December 2020.

According to a notice, a copy of which lies with Kashmir News Service (KNS), CEO Anantnag has informed the public as well as parents whose wards are studying in GEMS Public School, Bijbehara that the office has taken over the charge of GEMS Public School both financially and academically.

“The School authorities without getting approval from this office (Nodal Officer) or competent authority have withdrawn huge amount from the school accounts which is against the order issued by Director School Education Kashmir,” the notification reads.

It reads the recognition of the school has also expired on December 2020 and thereafter the school is functioning unauthorisedly.

“Now, therefore, keeping in view the matter under consideration, it is informed to public in general and parents whose wards are studying in GEMS Public School Bijbehara in particular that the school is functioning unauthorisedly without recognition and as such desist their wards in getting admitted in the said unrecognised school,” it reads.
