Srinagar, Jan 11 :

J&K Government on Wednesday notified special courts for purpose of trails of offences under UAPA.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 22 of the National Investigation Agency Act, 2008 and in partial modification of notification S.O 68 of 2020 dated 25-02- 2020, Government hereby notifies the following Courts as Special Courts for the districts shown against each for the purpose of trial of offences under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967.” Reads a notification, a copy of which lies with the Kashmir scroll.

As per order the jurisdiction of additional sessions judge (TADA/POTA), Srinagar will be Districts of Srinagar and Ganderbal, Additional District and Sessions Judge, Anantnag (District Anantnag), Additional District and Sessions Judge, Baramulla (District Baramulla), Additional District and Sessions Judge, Pulwama (Districts Pulwama and Budgam), Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fast Track Court), Kulgam (Districts Kulgam and Shopian) and for Additional District and Sessions Judge, Bandipora the jurisdiction will be Bandipora and Kupwara districts.
