Srinagar, July 19 :

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, State Investigation Agency (SIA), Tahir Bhat has been bereaved following the demise of his father, Abdul Satar Bhat, who passed away after a brief illness on Sunday.

The passing away of Abdul Satar Bhat has cast a pall of gloom across Jammu and Kashmir. Senior police officers, civil and administrative officials, political leaders, colleagues, friends, and people from different walks of life have expressed deep grief over his demise and conveyed their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Condolence messages have been pouring in from across the Union Territory, with mourners praying for eternal peace to the departed soul and expressing solidarity with DIG Tahir Bhat and his family during this difficult time. They prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and bless the bereaved family with Sabr-e-Jameel (patience), courage, and strength to bear this irreparable loss.
