SRINAGAR ,MAY,16 :
The Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF), under the leadership of its Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani, expresses deep concern over the ongoing disruption of key public services due to the failure of the Jammu and Kashmir Land Records Information System (JKLRIS) and Revenue Plus portals. The breakdown, now persisting for several days, has caused severe inconvenience to citizens across the Union Territory.
People in both urban and rural areas are unable to access essential revenue-related services such as land record verification, issuance of mutation certificates, and other documentation. Daily visits to tehsil offices are proving futile for many, adding to public frustration.
Chairman Abdul Qayoom Wani stated, “It is imperative that the government ensures uninterrupted access to citizen-centric digital services. The disruption of land record portals has highlighted the fragility of our current system.”
JKCSF urges the Revenue Department and all concerned agencies to expedite restoration efforts and implement a portable backup mechanism to ensure continuity of services during technical failures. A more resilient, decentralised infrastructure with regular audits, backups, and alternate access provisions must be prioritised to prevent future breakdowns.
JKCSF remains committed to advocating for accountable and citizen-friendly governance in Jammu and Kashmir.
