The Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department today visited Baramulla to review the arrangements for the upcoming visit of VVIP to UT of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department visited Showkat Ali Stadium Khwajabagh Baramulla to take stock of the arrangements put in place ahead of the VVIP visit.

The Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department was accompanied by Chairperson District Development Council, Safina Beigh, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole, DC Baramulla Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar,SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad Bhat and President Municipal Council Baramulla Touseef Raina.

The Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department chaired a meeting at the Conference Hall, Dak Banglow where arrangements for upcoming visit of VVIP including traffic plan and public facilitation besides regulation of participants were discussed.

On the occasion DC Baramulla Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar apprised the Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department about various measures taken ahead of the VVIP visit.

While discussing the seating and alied arrangements for the upcoming VVIP visit, the Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department directed that R&B department will be the Nodal agency for stage set up and and seating plan at the venue.

The Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department instructed that ambulances, fire tender vehicles and water tankers may be kept available at the venue. He further directed that public facilitation should be regulated at the entry points to avoid chaotic situation at the event.

On the occasion a record note was also prepared to ensure that elaborate arrangements are put in place ahead of the visit of VVIP to UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
