“Satisfied that revision raises arguable questions warranting consideration”

Srinagar, July 14 :

The Court of Second Additional Sessions Judge, Srinagar, has stayed the order passed by the Court of City Judge/Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMIC) against the Senior Superintendent of Police, Srinagar.

In its order, the Court observed that it was satisfied the revision petition raises arguable questions warranting consideration.

“The submission requires examination after the record of the learned Court is made available. At this interlocutory stage, and without expressing any opinion on the controversy, the Court is satisfied that the revision raises arguable questions warranting consideration,” the order stated, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)

The Court stayed the operation and implementation of the order passed suo motu by the City Judge/JMIC, Srinagar.“Send for records in scanned form. In the meanwhile, the operation and implementation of the order dated 06.07.2026 (suo motu) passed by the learned City Judge/JMIC is hereby stayed,” the order reads.

The matter has been listed for appropriate orders on July 27, 2026—(KNO)
