Vehicular Movement to Remain Suspended on Key Routes From 4 AM to 3 PM

Bandipora, May 24: Traffic Police Rural Kashmir has issued a traffic advisory in connection with a Mega Rally (Padh Yatra) being organised under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan in Bandipora town on May 25.

According to the advisory issued by the office of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Traffic Rural Kashmir, vehicular movement from Kaloosa Bridge Bandipora to Nasoo Bus Stand Crossing Bandipora shall remain completely suspended from 4:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the day of the event.

The advisory further stated that traffic bound for Srinagar, Sopore and Baramulla from Gurez will be diverted via Sonarwani Bridge – Wangam – Koil Muqam – Sopore towards Baramulla and Srinagar, and vice versa.

Officials also informed that vehicular movement along the Ganderbal–Bandipora road via Pandach, T-Chowk, Barsoo, Ajas and Bandipora is likely to remain affected during the scheduled programme.

Motorists have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel on the affected routes till the culmination of the event and to follow the traffic diversions and instructions issued by authorities for smooth regulation of traffic.

The advisory has been issued in public interest for information and compliance by commuters and the general public.
