Kupwara, May 24th : A 23-year-old youth died and another was injured after lightning struck them during heavy rain and thunderstorms in Chandigam area of Lolab on Sunday.
Officials said both were taken to SDH Sogam, where Abid Rahim Ganie was declared dead, while Faizan Rahman Dar was referred to GMC Handwara for treatment.
Meanwhile, a hailstorm caused damage to orchards and crops across parts of Lolab Valley, leaving farmers worried about losses.
