Srinagar, Aug 28:

MBBS interns across Jammu and Kashmir have announced a united protest from August 31, demanding revision of their long-pending internship stipend to ₹30,000 per month.

According to the announcement issued by the J&K MBBS Interns, the protest has been planned after coordination among representatives of medical colleges across Jammu and Kashmir.
The interns have said that from August 31, participating interns will refrain from joining duty until the stipend issue is resolved and their demand is addressed.

The interns maintained that the protest is not confined to any particular medical college, describing it as a collective demand of MBBS interns across Jammu and Kashmir.

They have appealed to all interns to remain united and participate peacefully in the proposed protest.

The announcement carries the demand for a “fair stipend” and states that the interns are seeking revision of their monthly stipend to ₹30,000.
